What we’re looking for
A member-facing associate who stays calm under a queue — clear communicator, sharp on packaging and handoff checks, and proud of a smooth dropoff experience.
Responsibilities
- Run front-of-house dropoff: welcome members, confirm what’s expected, and keep the line moving.
- Check packaging and basic condition at handoff; flag issues before units go to back-of-house.
- Coordinate with backend receiving so scanned lots match what arrived at the door.
- Keep the dropoff area organized, labeled, and ready for the next window.
- Escalate mismatches, damaged goods, or unclear commitments to ops leadership with clear context.
Requirements
- Strong customer-facing communication — calm, clear, and professional under pressure.
- Detail-oriented with packaging checks, counts, and handoff accuracy.
- Comfortable on your feet in a fast-paced dropoff / warehouse setting.
- Reliable schedule and willingness to work full-time on-site in Portland, OR.
- Basic comfort with tablets or handheld scanners (we train on our tools).
Nice to have
- Prior retail, receiving desk, returns, or warehouse front-desk experience.
- Familiarity with consumer electronics packaging and handling.
- Bilingual English / Spanish a plus for member conversations on the floor.
Compensation
$19/hour
How we work
Clarity over theater
Suppliers trust us because commitments, scans, and payouts match. We write the same way we operate — specific, honest, and easy to follow.
Ops is product
The dropoff floor and the deal board are one loop. Software that ignores receiving reality does not ship here.
Follow-through
We finish the handoff: receive clean, settle fair, and cash out without making suppliers chase us.
